The coolest thing I have ever designed was the footrest of a chair that my friend sat in. Her feet fit comfortably on the slab of wood, at the perfect level for her knees to be bent, but not too bent. While her legs would usually dangle on another chair, this one was just right. It’s that moment of satisfaction when an experience meets a user’s needs that keeps me designing--getting right all the little details you might not notice, but bring the design to the next level. Now, I’m not a full-time carpenter but I’m learning to design new things. Digital things. I’m building skills in UX/UI, product design, brand design, programming, and prototyping. From a wireframe for a Google Hackathon-winning app design, to a set of posters advertising Cooper Hewitt Museum’s high school programs, I’ve used my eye for detail to produce successful projects. And hopefully, I can design a successful project for you.Feel free to ask me about what new cool things I’m working on, because I always am. May all your footrests fit right. Physically, and metaphorically.
