I am a Data Analytics professional with experience across industries including Financial Services, Gambling, Automotive and Retail. Up to April 2022, I led the design, development and delivery of the internal audit data analytics in BetWay Group. The tasks involved in the set up of the internal audit reporting suite included : Automating and optimising KYC, AML and EDD data reporting processes; Updates and optimision of existing code; Designing, implementating and testing stored procedure for daily reports to indicate risks and controls failures; Maintainance and creation of dashboards for monitoring purposes; Stakeholder management and communication of findings to internal audit and analytics teams.For 6 years before this role, I was a subject matter expert in financial crime analytics having led and managed a number of large-scale projects for global financial institutions including: Calibration of payment and name list screening engines; Risk assessments and lookbacks; Controls acceleration programs; Financial crime transformation programs; Sanctions compliance programs; Model validation assessments; Assurance projects; and Effectiveness reviews of payment and name list screening engines.Prior to that, I worked as a business analyst for a car servicing company optimising its pricing model and driving a sales uplift as well as a data analytics industrial placement for one of the largest UK retailers working on a forecasting model to increase accuracy and decrease waste of groceries.
