Avionics Limited is one of the few contractors which deal with prestigious AGL (airfield ground lighting) works in Australia. I am currently working with Avionics for the RAAF Base Darwin project, where we are in-charge of upgrading the existing runway with Halogen lights to the new LED system. My responsibilities include:Managing a $15 million project focused on enhancing airport runway infrastructure and achieving project milestones within budget and timeline constraints, ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations.Conducting site assessments and coordinated with aviation authorities to ensure compliance with Darwin International Airport (DIA) and Defence.Understanding different assets of runway lighting, their installation procedures and compliance according to CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority).Maintaining Quality Assurance/ Control(QA/ QC) records and performing site inspections while gathering photographic evidence.Managing Request for Information (RFI) processes with the client, ensuring timely responses and comprehensive information gathering to support project planning and execution.Formulating comprehensive work packs for site teams, ensuring clarity and efficiency in task execution, while also preparing detailed shift reports to facilitate smooth handovers and maintain operational continuity.Creating and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.Raising Hold Points (HP) and Witness Points (WP) to the clients and submitting ATPs for approvals to release them. Preparing detailed reports on out-of-scope work, providing thorough analysis and documentation to support the Project Manager in addressing Contract Variances (CV).Developing and implementing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
