Current• Leading a team to revamp the overall portals in PickMe to provide complete management of the platform. The latest iteration has garnered very positive sentiments from the stakeholders after following some of the items explained below,⠀⠀• The organization lacked expertise in web app development, so thorough research was conducted to choose the right technology stack. This was documented in an architecture decision log to ensure clarity and long-term sustainability.⠀⠀• The goal was to create a portal where multiple teams could develop and deploy their parts in isolation. A simplified micro-frontend architecture was selected to meet this need.⠀⠀• A monorepo was used to promote team autonomy and isolation. Nx was introduced as a task orchestrator to manage dependencies and automate boundary checks.⠀⠀• To address outdated backend services lacking proper authorization, a BFF was implemented to improve error handling and authorization.⠀⠀• GitHub Copilot was introduced to help the team generate code and unit tests more efficiently, with training to ensure it was used thoughtfully and not as a shortcut. This improved test coverage without increasing effort.• Led a team to revamp the PickMe mobile app from the ground up to improve code quality, making it modular, fault-tolerant, and scalable. The new version received significantly more positive feedback from beta testers and the focus group, while also enhancing the overall developer experience. (Android, Kotlin, Jetpack)⠀⠀• Created a modular design and structure for the team to follow in development.⠀⠀• R&D on Android + Kotlin + Jetpack modern standards and educated the team on it.⠀⠀• Provided the team with the knowledge to properly create de-coupled units to follow up on doing unit testing.⠀⠀• Created a GitLab CI pipeline to support build-test-deploy pipe including multi-variants. Worked with the team to come up with a clear git workflow strategy that complements this and improves DX.
