First and foremost, I am an engineer at heart. I love solving complex problems and consider myself a lifelong learner. As I got further into my career and started leading an engineering team of my own, I've always strived to improve the efficiency of my team and others around me. That's when I had the idea for my first startup, stemming from a problem I noticed in my team as we worked remotely between UK and Canada. I started my entrepreneurial journey to build my first product, ScrumGenius, to help remote teams run asynchronous standups. ScrumGenius is now used by companies of all sizes daily, helping make sense of what everyone is working on wherever they are - while cutting down email and meetings drastically. Developing ScrumGenius has been an incredible journey. I've remained receptive to feedback and was fortunate to have some very helpful early adopters who helped shaped the product it is now today. Still to this day, I remain customer focused with a heavy focus on product development. As ScrumGenius grew both in team size and customers, our feedback and roadmap grew. Managing all the feedback spread across support tickets and Notion tables were not cutting it anymore. This pain point led me to start my next product to solve this problem for customer-focused founders like me who are heavily focused on feedback cycled and product development. My next product journey begins in 2021 with UserVitals - A tool to help teams collect, organize and prioritize customer feedback. It's a tool I wish I had as a product owner, and I hope it will help other like-minded folks like me.
