I have been working in the construction industry for 15 years providing quantity surveyor/cost consultant services for major UK and Australian QS practices. During this time I'm lucky enough to have worked on some iconic developments such as Quay Quarter Tower, Sydney ($1bn), and the new Australian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand. Both of these career highlights have given me unique skills and experience that are proving to be invaluable going forwards in my career.The launch of HQS (Hartley Quantum Solutions) in January 2021 is my new exciting chapter. I'm offering the full range of QS services and am able to offer this at a very competitive price while also bringing invaluable experience and skills to the table.To kickstart my new venture I've managed to retain the provision of QS services on the Quay Quarter Tower project by contracting to WT. That brings my time on this project to a staggering 9 years. It's been a fantastic experience and so good to see a project through from feasibility to near-completion. Now that this project nears completion, I'm keen for new challenges and it's exciting to see what might be around the corner.My project experience extends to QS services on all stages of the construction process for a wide variety of construction sectors for both private and public sector clients.
