At E&E Exhibits, I leveled up from just placing graphic orders with outside vendors to truly getting my hands dirty in the world of grand-format printing. This was where I first got a real taste of what it takes to run a graphics room and execute grand format printing in-house. It was a game-changer, learning all the gritty details that make or break a visual presentation. Managing accounts like Coleman/Maax Spas and Net Apps, I quickly grasped the importance of control and quality when handling graphics production. This experience didn’t just enhance my technical skills—it laid the groundwork for the graphic powerhouse that we'd develop at HWY 85, with everything done in-house, on our terms, and with our standards.

My time at Habitat was a game-changer—it was the most influential place I've ever been, and it laid the groundwork for building HWY 85 Creative. Habitat's culture and approach inspired me, showing me the type of environment and business model I wanted to create.Here, I learned the importance of having everything in-house—graphics, interiors, rentals—you name it. We offered a wide variety of solutions tailored to any need, which taught me the power of flexibility and cross-selling. I honed my skills working with big names like the Phoenix Suns, Rockford Fosgate, Starwood, Choice Hotels, and NetApp.It was all about delivering exceptional value, whether through a robust rental inventory or a custom-built solution. Habitat's emphasis on providing comprehensive solutions and an all-in-one approach directly influenced my vision for HWY 85 Creative.

After three years, I climbed to the top as the #1 salesperson, forging long-standing relationships with major players like Honeywell, Avnet, Inter-Tel, and Virage (pioneers in streaming during its early days). These partnerships not only cemented my place in the industry but also earned me the status of a million-dollar salesperson! 🚀💼

I spent a year as a Shop Apprentice, diving deep into the nuts and bolts of exhibit design and build. This is where I truly learned "how the sausage is made." From understanding the craftsmanship behind each build to the creative process that fuels design, I gained firsthand knowledge of what goes into creating an unforgettable exhibit.

Back in 1993, I landed my first gig at Exhibitgroup/Giltspur, stepping into the world of trade shows through the Accounts Receivable department. And let me tell you, this wasn't just a job—it was the ultimate crash course in everything trade shows. My dad, (who is still a seasoned pro with over 50 years in the industry) opened the door for me, and I never looked back. I knew this was where I belonged.Those early days weren't just about crunching numbers; they were about igniting a fire🔥. It was here that I realized the limitless possibilities of what could be achieved with the right mix of creativity, strategy, and a hell of a lot of passion. I learned the ropes, made connections, and most importantly, discovered that this was the path I wanted to forge my future on. This experience was the foundation that eventually led me to build something extraordinary of my own.
