Core OverviewInfrastructure Engineer is responsible for the Support of the Group’s technology services including maintenance, projects, monitoring and supporting the IT infrastructure environment.Key Responsibilities•To work with the team in the transformation of the company’s IT infrastructure into the appropriate technical solutions and to present them to other IT units (Applications and E-Channels Department)•To ensuring that the IT Systems are delivered according to defined Service Agreements for ALL IT systems including the network infrastructure that provides support for the Core Business IT Services.•Relevant experience within the area of banking and financial institutions•Assisting and guiding of subsidiary IT personnel and being their first line of support•Determine the extent to which solutions perform “as required” within the current environment to ensure that future solutions meet anticipated demand•Ensure that the testing and handover of implemented solutions are conducted as per organizational standards, therefore reducing the risk and adverse impact of change•Performs creation of scheduled backups, patch management and hot fixes, and ensures that these scheduled events take place•Perform routine tasks on, Supporting Software e.g. Active Directory, and servers and workstation patching with SCCM/WSUS•Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with Group’s policies and applicable Country Policies.•Identify or Anticipate hardware and software issues on IT Infrastructure, troubleshoot, correct and develop mitigation processes/solution and escalate any incidents as per SLA, and for awareness to the IT Infrastructure team•Ensure that all documented Polices, Procedures, Designs and Infrastructure configurations are stored securely and appropriate access control is provided to secure these elements•Proposed project solutions to enhance Letshego’s existing or potential (technical) IT architecture

Core OverviewMonitoring and maintaining the computer systems and the network of the bank to ensure day to day running of the bank. Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person are some of my responsibilities. I provided support to users of Finacle Banking System, as well as managing the helpdesk system Comma5, and other surround systems used by various departments in the bank.Key Responsibilities•Monitoring the LIVE database by performing a series of maintenance activities to improve its performance•End of day processing•Making sure that Data guard is up and consistent with the LIVE database at all times by checking if replication is active•Monitoring the alert system to ensure proper flow of SMS alerts to customers•Monitoring the connection between the bank and Electra Card Services to ensure that the ATM card services are running at all times•Monitoring and managing the helpdesk system Comma5, and responding within agreed time frames to issues logged•Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications

Network EngineerI worked as a trainee network engineer and I provided support of technology sold by the company which in most cases is CISCO networking equipment. I advised clients on new network products. My duties also included responding to tender and quotation requests and production of network diagrams for customers. In addition, I responded to call outs for wired and wireless network equipment and kept up to date documentation for customer’s live/wireless network equipment. Other duties included designing and installation of other network solutions; site inspections/ site visits which is usually done before a project starts and research on new technologies. Network TechnicianAs a technician my core accountabilities and responsibilities were to install network cables, fixing/repairing of network points, conducting of site surveys, testing and documentation of networks, troubleshooting of networks, support clients with technical solutions, presale – technical work, and also produce installation reports/tests for customers.
