Popcorn Shed is a gourmet popcorn snacks & gifting wholesale business. Our gourmet popcorn is made the way it should be: by hand, using all natural ingredients, carefully sourced, lovingly crafted and free of any nasty preservatives or additives.Popcorn Shed has gone from kitchen table start-up to a 7-figure business in just 6 years. Starting out in the kitchen, after months and months of recipe development, we finally hit on a few great recipes! We ended up making so much popcorn (and mess) that we couldn’t store all of the popcorn and machinery in the kitchen, so we were banished to the garden shed! Soon our family started calling it the Popcorn Shed, and that’s how we named our business.Popcorn Shed is currently listed in Harrods, TUI Airlines, John Lewis Foodhall, The Four Seasons Hotel and Amazon UK, EU & US, as well as a broad selection of farm shops, delis, garden centres, cinemas and theatres, across the UK. We have listings with several key distributors, and export to over 20 countries around the world.In my role as Founder & Commercial Director, I am responsible for finance, operations, sales and new product development.

I managed high-end commercial properties in Mayfair and Knightsbridge for two primary clients. My portfolio consisted of shops, offices and residential accommodation, along with a number of 'trophy' buildings.

During my time at CBRE, I worked on the Sainbsurys and Lloyds contracts in Global Corporate Services. During my time at Sainsburys, I undertook the management of 100 stores in the South West of England. My remit included inspections; dealing with licenses for alterations / underlettings / sublettings; service charge and insurance enquiries and any other estate management issues that arose from time to time.During my time at Lloyds I managed 240 properties across the South East of England. My remit included ensuring that rents, insurance and service charges were paid ontime; dealing with repairing issues; managing subtenants; dealing with dilapidations; liaising with our professional teams in respect of rent reviews and lease renewals; undertaking regular inspections of void and subtennanted units; dealing with tenant enquiries and reporting to the client regularly.

My responsibilities include the day-to-day management of a large, mixed-use portfolio comprising of offices, retail, industrial and residential accommodation throughout the UK for a variety of clients. I have also spent several months in Strettons’ professional department and during this time have been involved on a variety of projects including capital and leasehold valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals and development appraisals including:• Inspecting, measuring and valuing 93 Charlotte Street, W1 and 37 Foley Street, W1.• Negotiating a rent review and completing an assignment of a 1,700 sq ft café on Mare Street in Hackney, London E2.• Providing a valuation of a mixed-use site with development potential, comprising two retail outlets, a workshop and an advertising hoarding, in Tottenham, N17 on behalf of LPA Receivers.• Negotiating a dilapidations claim and issuing a new lease on a 3,500 sq ft warehouse building on King Edward Industrial Estate, Liverpool.• Organising and supervising the refurbishment of 61 Broadway, a 4,000 sq ft multi-let office building in Stratford, London, E15.• Assisting in the sale at auction of a portfolio of 5 prime properties on behalf of LPA Receivers including a 9,000 sq ft building on Borough High Street in London, SE1 let to Foxtons with planning permission for 8 self-contained flats above.• Assisting in the valuation of the 7-acre Ilford Jewish Primary School site in Ilford, Essex, IG6, on behalf of a large community organisation.• Managing a substantial multi-let building in Old Street, EC1, including managing the service charge reconciliation for 2010-2011 and budget for 2011-2012.• Researching and assisting in giving advice to a private developer for a 200,000 sq ft prime mixed-use scheme in Romford City Centre, Essex.I am currently studying towards my APC, and am due to sit my final assessment in October 2011.
