Working towards a PhD titled Enduring Fashion: Building Sustainable Clothing Practices Through Wearer-Garment Relationships.Associate Fellow of Advance HE (AFHEA) awarded June 2023.I am also a designer, maker, educator and writer. Between 2014 and 2021 I wrote 5 bestselling craft books.From 2007 to 2021 I taught textile and sewing classes with a wide range of adult learners. The power of craft to have a positive effect on people’s lives and mental wellbeing is at the core of my teaching and I have taught in several community outreach settings.Sustainable fashion and textiles have been a particular focus since working as part of the core team to establish a fair trade organic cotton brand from 2001 to 2005. I also explored novel opportunities for recycling textiles through an MA during 2002 to 2004.
