As a former college-track high school chemistry teacher and entrepreneur, I developed and wrote my own computer programs intended to be used as part of my overall curriculum. The focus with the programs was to enhance the classroom experience and to increase the overall understanding of the subject matter for my students. I even sold my first products in chemistry teachers textbook catalogues, Science Kit and Boreal Science, with much success throughout the late 1990's and early 2000's. The resounding success of my first computer lab program led to the subsequent creation of more programs over time. My program subjects at the time included inorganic writing/naming, writing/balancing chemical equations, understanding significant digits, stoichiometry, quantum electronic structure and naming organic chemicals. When I reached the end of my public teaching career - I realized that my true passion lied in the creation of my chemistry learning programs because they help others easily achieve comprehension results with topics that are not necessarily easy to understand. I firmly believe that my programs have the capability to enhance the capability of any chemistry student with the desire to learn, which is why I decided found my company, Chemistry Learning Apps as my next business venture.
