I am currently working as a Full Stack software engineer and Cohort Lead with Northcoders. I trained with Northcoders bootcamp between August and November 2021. It was an incredible experience and im delighted to be working for a company who very clearly values the diversity still needed in Tech industries.I have worked primarily in the healthcare sector for the past few years, specialising in ophthalmic care. During this time I trained to a very high standard at one of the leading private eye hospitals in the country. I also trained new and existing staff on specialist hardware and software and became an unofficial tech support for the company. I have thrived in my position and rose to a level of competency and trust among high ranking members of the company. Before working at my current position, I was in a sales position at a very popular opticians. During my time there I gained experience in team management, leadership and rota management. I was primarily responsible for communicating with customers to find products for their exact requirements and also helping them understand their diagnoses better. I was also responsible for managing sensitive patient data in compliance with GDPR and so understand the importance of discretion.
