Jack & Ryan both thought the word Pretengineering (Pretend - Engineering) was a pretty apt way to describe how most graduates feel in the first couple years of their career. You can probably remember yourself, as a fresh engineering graduate you are often learning things on the fly, rolling with the punches while your head is constantly spinning, and all whilst trying to look like you are relatively in control!The boys are constantly on the hunt for Engineers across Australia and the World who can share their experiences and make these first couple of "pretengineering" years for graduates just that little bit easier. After all, you only know what you don't until it's put in front of you.

Ryan is an Electrical Engineer in the Power Service Group at GHD. He works across the Defence, Transmission & Distribution, Generation & Renewable, Power Systems, and Regulatory teams within the service group.

Jack currently resides as an established Project Engineer in the emerging Waste to Energy industry. He actively develops, analyses and project manages multiple projects ranging from small and medium scale, all the way to large and major waste to energy projects. His background with LafargeHolcim (the largest construction materials company in the world) makes him an asset in assessing project practices and potential pit falls in developing projects, not only in Australia but across the Globe.Growing up on the Gold Coast, Australia and in Gryon, Switzerland he has many stories and experiences to share and relates easily with a global audience.
