Serving with the Student Conservation Association and NH Parks, we lived in a rural, renovated Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the hear of Bear Brook State Park. In the winter months, we broke into teams and taught environmental education classes to elementary schools in Concord and Manchester. We also collaborated with local social service organizations and high schools to assist with projects. In the summer, we broke into trail crews and did 2-week project stints in State Parks around NH.

Serving for the California Conservation Corps on the recently decommissioned Ft. Ord military base owned by the Bureau of Land Management, we performed land restoration, rare flora and fauna monitoring, non-native plant abatement, educational field trips, and maintained a presence on the land for recreational users.
