I received my PhD in Medical Biotechnology from the Mandalay Technological University, Myanmar in 2009. I also successfully completed my one-year post-doctoral research project in molecular microbiology at Central Drug Research Institute, India. My research project was covered to study the role of Vc1929 encoding DCTP in Vibrio cholerae. This work has been reported in Microbiology journal (a journal of the Society for Microbiology UK).I have set up the microbiology (pathogen) lab for Pharmaceutical Research Department at Kyaukse and I am very familiar with the lab instruments and techniques. I recently completed another research project related to Natural Products at Chemistry Department, Mahidol University, Thailand. This work also hopes to publish in the near future. My current research focus was on the Bioassay-guided isolation of active compounds from Myanmar medicinal plants for Antioxidant, Antiglycation and α-glucosidase Inhibitory Properties: Therapeutic Potentials in Diabetic Complications. Our manuscript entitled "Evaluation of in vitro antioxidant, antiglycation and antimicrobial potential of indigenous Myanmar medicinal plants" was recently published on the Journal of Integrative Medicine. I am also a fast learner, self-motivated, willing to learn new things and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team with others.
