The Focus Center is a community empowerment non-profit organization that relies on interns and sponsorships.I was in charge of creating a more efficient recruitment and training process for interns. I will also created surveys and other means to get feed back from current employees and interns to discover problems that need to be fixed. Once I implemented a new system for both of these roles, I began recruiting, training and placing interns in appropriate job roles that best suit their skills. This required me to go to several colleges in the area to find potential interns.

Homefix Custom Remodeling is a home improvement company that has been in business for 27. The beginning of 2016 Homefix has made a partnership with BJs Wholesale club to offer home improvement to its members. I have helped manage this program for the tidewater region for four different stores. I help with overflow of recruitment process to include hiring and interviewing new candidates for our marketing department. I oversee training and employee development. I work closely with employees with ensure retention and program success. I manage employee shifts, schedules, and retail store booth staff. In addition to helping with the BJs Home Improvement Program, I also assist in working various events through the area for the company.I have learned the ends and outs of lead generation, product knowledge, employee management, and executive leadership.

After 6 months of employment I became a Team Leader. I managed quality assurance, sanitary conditions, customer care, deposit drops, while maintaining employee efficiency.I was able to gain respect from my fellow employees by maintaining a positive environment while instituting quality work.
