Thea is a motivated and hard-working undergraduate student at the University of Bath. Her studies are in politics and international relations and areas of particular interest are conflict, extremism and the climate crisis. As part of her studies, Thea has undertaken professional placements at the Institute of Policy Research (www.https://www.bath.ac.uk/research-institutes/institute-for-policy-research/) and Development Initiatives (www.devinit.org). Following her placement year, Thea took up the position of Project Assistant, ActNowFilm at Cambridge Zero during Summer 2024, where she worked with members of a team from both the University of Bath and University of Cambridge to produce the fourth installment of the ActNowFilm project, a youth climate change advocacy film showcased at UNFCCC COPs. During her time at the IPR, Thea was a Student Leader in Climate Action nominee at the University of Bath's Climate Action Awards 2024, where she was highly commended for her contributions to tackling climate change. She also received the Climate Action Badge in recognition of her contributions to climate action at the University. Prior to her degree studies, Thea achieved A-Levels in Politics (A*), Law (A*), and English Literature (A*) at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College. She is currently on target to graduate with a first-class degree in BSc Politics and International Relations from the University of Bath in June 2025. Thea also has limited working proficiency in French; she can read confidently and converse socially. Thea lives in Bath as she carries out her degree studies. She is interested in graduate roles in public policy and research in the international security sector, climate change, or in investigative journalism. Thea graduates in Summer 2025.
