A new career!

As Senior network engineer at NCS I responsible for the design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of network infrastructure from Layer 1 to Layer 7 as well as communicating the needs of the customer back up the chain of command.I was also responsible for troubleshooting and repairing fiber optic network hardware and the fiber optic cable. I have a wide range of experience terminating all types of fiber optic cable, from short range multi-mode networks and long range laser optimized single mode. While at NCS I also designed, installed, configured wireless radio network equipment for point to point and point to multi-point connections. In addition to standard 802.11 wireless ethernet bridges and mesh networks, I was also responsible for the design and testing of many other wireless data transmission systems, from sub gigahertz frequencies radio and audio transmission to licensed gigahertz microwave frequency network links. I also supervised the testing and calibrating small scale cellular repeater networks. I have experince supporting a wide range of hard ware and software as a subcontractor. I have tested Cisco Wireless networks, done wireless survey mapping and documentation. As a sub contractor for the IT department I was responsible for discovering, documented, and resolving down fiber connections for Air Liquide in a local TI chip manufacturing plant. As remote support for an onsite Cisco ISR configuration, I help the remote team fix the issue in their VPN tunnel configuration. For a local financial advisor, I set up a ipsec VPN tunnel with DDNS host names on residential DSL connections, to run a Panasonic IP telephone in his home office from his office in Plano. At the time Panasonic would not support remote IP extensions, but I was able to build a test lab to demonstrate that we could run remote IP extensions a different subnets and still have a flawless audio connection with a full featured IP extension.

Set up stage for different bands, run Yamaha mgp24x and Behringer x32 mixing board for monitors and live sound. Manage sound levels to comply with local sound ordinances.
