With over 10 years of work experience in the education sector, I am a passionate and effective leader in advancing education policy and reform. As the Director of Government Affairs at CityHealth, I work with local and state policymakers, stakeholders, and advocates to promote and implement evidence-based policies and practices that improve the health and well-being of urban communities. Previously, I served as the Committee Director for the Council of the District of Columbia, where I oversaw the legislative agenda, budget, and oversight of the education committee. I also have experience as a School Turnaround Specialist at DCPS, where I supported 15 schools in developing and executing comprehensive school plans aligned to district goals. I have a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on politics and leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Mercer University. I have strong skills in teaching, public speaking, and education. My core competencies include policy analysis, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and project management.
