About Thea Miles

I am passionate about creating positive and lasting change for people and the planet and am eager to progress my career enhancing communities through environmental stewardship and responsible ecological management. My graduate studies focused on environmental public health and I gained a deeper understanding of the health and social impacts of environmental issues - such as the human health impact of biodiversity loss, resource extraction, environmental contamination, air pollution, and climate change - and how to address these problems through evidence-based policies and interventions. I now work in mine reclamation and mine closure planning where I contribute to ecological restoration and the preservation of safe and healthy environments for generations to come.
