In the current landscape, it is imperative for modern businesses to actively generate and handle transformative shifts within their industries. My recent leadership involvement with NetApp's global cloud team has been an exhilarating journey marked by unconventional growth, surging from $100 million to $600 million in just 11 quarters. This achievement was realized through pioneering the industry's inaugural Go-To-Market strategy for "native service" within the three major public clouds, alongside their distinct growth catalysts.I've been privileged to engage with three distinct paradigms of disruptive, open source software: Distribution, as exemplified by Red Hat and VMW Tanzu; Managed Service, a case in point being RackSpace; and OSS Support, as seen with InstaClustr. This journey has encompassed the establishment of international Go-To-Market teams, catering to both direct and indirect channels, offering a spectrum of economic options from subscription-based to consumption-based models, tailored for both customers and partners.Just as a leader in a cycling race requires a supportive pack, I've come to appreciate the value of a diverse and cohesive team.
