Glazed: The Doughnut Addiction Experience, was an experiential marketing event for the new Penryn based business; Doughnut Addiction. The aim of the event was to widen DA'S consumer audience to students, increase their social media following and to launch DA's core business message of addiction awareness. This was achieved through a four phase, immersive and interactive, walk through experience. Attendees were given a sample of Doughnut Addictions dangerously, delicious doughnuts and were transported into an experience which took them through the highs and lows of addiction. Throughout this project, my main responsibilities were event design, marketing and health and safety. All elements of the project were run on a very low budget and required creativity, flexibility and problem solving.The event was extremely successful, with 120 attendees over the two hour running period. Doughnut Addictions following on social media increased by 200 and feedback on understanding the brands message was positive.

Taboo was an interactive art exhibition, focusing on sensitive subjects, such as virginities, stress, anxiety, LGBTQ, PTSD, femininity, depression and body image. These themes were portrayed through film, photography and fine art. The aim of Taboo was “to make the uncomfortable, comfortable”. Everything showcased at the event had to be created by Falmouth University students. By putting this in place, the event provided a platform for students to showcase their incredibly unique work, as this is something that is in limited supply in Falmouth. With over 100 attendees, the event succeed in achieving this aim. Not only did this event support students, but through donations, the event raised £60 for the chosen charity, Samaritans.My responsibilities within the project were as follows:- Conducted market research, created and implemented the marketing plan and designs, for both online and print media. Due to overwhelming demand, ticket numbers were increased and event was sold out within 24 hours. - Responsible for liaising with the venue who benefited from 150 potential new customers to their arts charity.- Managed a team of 3 where specific roles were clearly communicated by weekly objectives to ensure deadlines were achieved resulting in a very successful event.
