Kenya Care is a small foundation, passionately supporting the needs of single mothers in Kenya suffering from HIV and their children. The women receive intensive guidance and training in hygiene, dietetics and business ownership. The most important element is for them to regain their self-esteem, their lust for life and the strength to take care of their children.Kenya Care works through Self Help Groups. The women form a group and connect both socially and financially. After completing the education program the women can apply for a small interest free loan, which enables them to look forward to an independant and brighter future. Even after the trainingsphase the groups continue their weekly meetings, guided by a Kenya Care staff member. They discuss their business, but also keep refreshing skills and knowledge already learned.
