Technical ArchitectGestalt Llc (Acquired By Accenture) Dec 2004 - Feb 2008Dublin 2, Ie• Acted as Lead Architect and Product Owner on a project, overseeing all elements of the software development lifecycle for a distributed, fault tolerant service-oriented architecture (SOA) for the DoD. I managed the development across three geographic locations and nearly thirty developers.• The infrastructure used elements from peer-to-peer (P2P) networking and grid/distributed computing, I architected a routing fabric and application deployment framework for web-service enabled applications. The solution used UDDI for discovery, SOAP as the messaging protocol, and WSDL for service description.• The infrastructure provided convergent capabilities such to provide both human-to-human communication (VoIP, Video and Instant Messaging) as well as system-to-system messaging (SOA, XML, etc). -

Vp EngineeringBasevoice Apr 2003 - Dec 2003At BaseVoice, I am Vice President of Engineering and project manager for an IP telephony solution. Originally hired as lead developer, I designed, architected and developed the first version of the solution. The platform is built on the industry standard JAIN SIP 1.1 API, which as a member of the Java APIs for Integrated Networks (JAIN) expert groups, I helped architect. The solution includes a SIP Stack and Server that provides Presence, Registrar, and Proxy capabilities to SIP enabled clients like IP phones. Also incorporated into the solution is the ability to interface with the publicly switched telephone network (PSTN) via gateways. For each call, a gateway is chosen based on an arbitrage of rate tables. The server also allows customers to add voicemail capabilities by integrating an external voicemail server such as Asterisk.
