About Sam Cornwall-Jones
I've worked in the hospitality sector for the last 31 years, I became a GM for Independent pioneers Brunning & Price in 1995 and remained with them until 2007, when I left to purchase the Red Lion in Hunningham. I Sold up in 2013 after my business partner's illness and subsequent death. After a year of consultancy I then purchased the freehold of The Regency Arms in Leamington Spa - this became The Drawing Board in 2015 (@thedbleamington) & The pub won Best Beer Pub in The Great British Pub Awards 2019. The same year In 2020 we began work on a new concept that was a pun back in 2018 and finally in June 2021 The Magic Wingdom restaurant was born (@magicwingdom). Wingdom won First Place in the Judges' Choice Awards at the worlds largest Wing festival (Wingfest 2022) for Best Buffalo & Best Wild Wing. We placed Second in The People's Choice Awards in the same categories. In 2023 we gained the same 1st Place award in the Wild Wing category & 2nd in Buffalo but this time we bagged 1st & 3rd respectively in the People’s Choice.

I was charged with hunting out a permanent Landlord & Head Chef and return confidence to the workforce. I used social media to strengthen it's watered down identity and deliver a successful Film & Beer Festival in a very short period of time. A wonderful pub still with so much potential.
