As a Cost Estimator the following were my duties:• Prepare costing for Internal (CHC GO & Fleet Assets Management) and 3rd party customers.• Provide support to Business Development & Central Planning for strategic decisions.• Provide feasibility (risk table) study, SWOT analysis of past opportunities and overview of all new opportunities.• Creating a database of past projects based on parts lead times, material costs, labour costs, certification costs, travel costs and Base Maintenance TAT (turn around time).• Development and implementation of new procedures to assist Business Development in reducing the interval between the first contact with a 3rd party customer and delivery of a proposal.• Prepare responses to meet customer requirements and deadlines.• Prepare and articulate handover meetings in order for the Tender Group to develop the proposals. • Maintaining a large volume of conventional and electronic information including template documentation, costing information and contracts and transparency report is audited weekly.• Create numerical analysis reports and articulate clear conclusions with recommendationsAs a Crew lead aircraft maintenance engineer my duties were the following:• Report to Project Manager to track milestones as well as budget.• Allocate & monitor resources• Create work orders for defects found during inspection• Close work orders• Order materials & track back order status for project• Contact aircraft tech support for repairs beyond the scope of the manufacturer’s manuals• Quality control• Certify aircraft to Canadian Air Regulations standards• Train/supervise apprentices
