The firm also worked on the Wasserman Eye Research Center, a world-class research and care center on the UCLA campus to preserve and restore eyesight. Renowned architectural firm Richard Meier & Partners Architects designed the six-story, 100,000-square-foot Edie and Lew Wasserman building.

At JRA, Charles worked with a myriad of other technical specialists to produce zoning and construction documents for cellular towers that were to be added to networks owned by companies such as AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. The tower specifications consisted of dense technical information such as antenna technology to be installed, mounting techniques and building systems that would support the new or renovated antennas. While at JRA, I worked jointly with founder and CEO Jeffrey Rome on a business development initiative utilizing relationships I maintained with numerous Chinese business professionals. Our goals for the initiative were to connect and collaborate with foreign companies such as Huawei to expand our market into China and greater Asia. After traveling to Shanghai and Shenzhen, I was able to make contact with several Huawei representatives and discuss our proposal. Ultimately, the venture did not go through, however we did establish long term relationships with representatives at Huawei and kept an open door for future discussions.
