They include public health , primary & secondary education, small & medium enterprises and 3rd sector organisations - delivering reliable and robust technology solutions.

During my final year at University I continued my professional development by undertaking a role as a self employed contractor. This provided me with flexibility to concentrate on my studies when required but also stay current with the latest developments in technology.I enjoyed being self employed and took on a number of projects during my time as a contractor. They ranged from deployment of desktop operating systems, terminal services configuration and IP telephony.I was exposed to other market sectors during this time and it helped me to broaden my understanding of the impact of IT on business.

My role involved providing technical support to SME's as well as primary and secondary schools. I was often the sole contact for server, networking and desktop issues. Starting from diagnosing issues, liaising with service providers and other engineers right the way through to resolution.During my role I took responsibility for supporting a Wigan Secondary School during the appointment of a new Network Manager. For 4 months I attended site regularly consulted with staff and school leadership on upgrades and resolving network issues. I was also asked to sit on the interview panel appointing the new network manager and help transfer knowledge once they had been appointed.
