Cyber Security Analyst
CurrentIn my current role, I support a government team responsible for ensuring AF systems, and systems in contact with the AFNET, successfully meet challenges with the "Risk Management Framework" and change management processes. As part of this team I provide guidance for anything dealing with "ports, protocols, and services". This includes recommendations referencing policy mandated by the DoD and other entities (A few examples being: DODI 8510.01, DODI 8551.01, Cloud Computing SRG, FEDRAMP, and US Code). I am successful in this position because I have a strong understanding of: applicable policy, known vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, traditional network architecture, cloud architecture, boundary devices, industry "best practices", emerging technologies, and process improvement methodologies.My proclivity for "attention to detail", tied with my ability to convey convoluted information in a relatable, easily understood manner, through both written correspondence and oral presentation, allows me to consistently guide the field towards success.Additionally, I am the PM for our contract. My priority in this role is to ensure my team has the resources and information needed to continue being successful, while also providing the government with easily absorbed data presentations showing trends in workflow. This allows for easier prioritization of processes and adjustments to support in order to meet contractual obligations.
