The power of “different” isn’t something I have to think about.It is my life. It is my background and my normal.My mother was born in India to Iraqi parents. My father was born in London to a Polish father and a Russian mother who met in Germany before they escaped during the rise of Nazism. I have had the privilege of living and working in five different countries before settling in my home in Israel where I am married to a wife of Yemenite origin.I have been blessed with both success and failure in life, and during a career in the sports industry spanning 25 years, I have built business, managed teams of all sizes, invested in others and learned every step of the way what I could have done better. I am constantly improving and evolving.My life and business has led me to one major mission – leveraging the unifying power of sports to bring people and communities together. This is my north star guiding all my efforts today, whether they be commercial, philanthropic or social impact.I am a huge believer in the power of human connection, and delve deeply into the potency of human centric values in delivering growth for ourselves both as individuals and as groups.Whether this means developing our understanding of empathy in the workplace for improved communication and commercial growth, or the driving force that a diverse senior management team can deliver to our organisations, I work together with CEOs, portfolio companies and my own teams to move forward from a place of knowledge and values.I am blessed to have come from and to continue to live a greatly diverse life, and as I endeavour daily to turn my success into significance, I welcome everyone on this exciting journey with me.
