Grew from an idea to a multimillion-dollar company. Learned a ton, made mistakes, had fun, and everyone made money. XOR Global was a concept that came to me during a flight that took a little too long while I was at Oracle. Having conceived, developed, and executed recruiting programs to solve real business problems for revenue gen, development, product, marketing, and executive search, I thought it would be interesting to package those programs into a solution for growth, scale-up, and smaller Enterprise companies. The concept was simple in my mind: combine People Business Intelligence, hiring manager support, and contract recruiting. In practice, it turned out to be a very interesting challenge. We were successful and built the business to $20 million before exiting. Couldn’t have done it without the support of my former leaders who graciously cheered me on; my 2 first partners in the endeavor, @LauraDennie and @MartinMiller, and multiple executive leaders whom I had supported in the past, as well as new friends.
