David DeCarolis is a 2nd year MFA candidate at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. He holds a BFA in Theatrical Lighting Design from the University of Utah with minors in both drawing and music. His credits include Utah Repertory Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Company, Salt Lake Acting Company, One Voice Children Choir, Yale Repertory Theatre, and Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. During his undergraduate David became SKY SLC's resident Lighting Designer, where he worked 3 days a week lighting some of the world's biggest names in hip-hop, electronic dance music, as well as live bands. Artists include Da-da Life, Darude, Marshmellow, Snails, Borgeous, Borgore, Zomboy, Infected Mushrooms, Kid Ink, and Nelly.After interning at Pioneer Theatre company David moved to Las Vegas and joined Visual Artform where he worked at two of the biggest clubs in the world (TAO Las Vegas and Maqruee Las Vegas). In addition to operating during night club hours, David worked as a designer creating beautiful and stage designs that would be seen around the world. While at DGSD at Yale, David has assisted on Today is My Birthday at Yale Repertory Theatre and designed the lighting for Love's Labor's Lost for the Shakespeare Repertory Project.
