Senior Project Engineer | Camera Research & DevelopmentE-Con Systems Apr 2017 - Mar 2018Riverside , California, UsLaid the groundwork to understand Nvidia TX2 ISP and integrated first sensor driver in the organization leveraging the ISP features. This led to the launch of e-CAM21_CUTX2, e-con's first product in partnership with Nvidia.Contributed to tuning the ISP for achieving best imaging performance using Image Quality Analysis tools such as imatest.Created a functional prototype with 10 MIPI CSI2 cameras running concurrently on the Xilinx FPGA Kit utilizing Vivado and reVISION stack to create new PL design including various IPs.Added support for the Intel Realsense R200 in Ubuntu before Linux was officially supported. This required decoding the USB descriptor, modifications at the kernel UVC driver and application level, and analyzing the output image data.

Project EngineerE-Con Systems Jun 2013 - Mar 2017Riverside , California, UsDeveloped world's first 3rd party imaging sensor driver for Nvidia Jetson TK1 which paved way for the launch of the first off the shelf camera (e-CAM130_CUTK1) for the commonly used developer kit in the embedded community.Conceptualized and implemented a camera ISP pipeline in GPU to perform debayering and color correction on the data stream from a high frame rate sensor with a custom bayer array pattern.Proved by creating a proof of concept application (which utilizes multiple optimization techniques in V4L2) that showcases Jetson TK1's capability to compress RAW 4K video to H.264 stream at 30fps.Contributed to V4L2 driver and application development for multiple MIPI CSI2 sensors and ISPs from OnSemi and OmniVision.
