Primary duties include overseeing quality and production of high volume, production machined products. Most of the product is for commercial nuclear power plants. Developed, implemented and currently oversee the quality system to meet requirements of nuclear (ANSI N45.2, NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21). These systems are very closely related to ISO9000. Also implemented a Six Sigma & Lean program to streamline shop activities. Actively involved in corrective actions, audits, preventative actions, nonconformance resolution, etc.Manage the production floor by creating manufacturing schedule and implementing such via Lead operators. Provide instruction to all operators as to their safety and quality requirements; provide production goals. Team-building and conflict resolution skills are critical to keeping team motivated and on-track as production can tend to be tedious.

Responsible for scheduling and performance metrics of 10+ machine operators under my supervision. Provided operators with daily tasks based upon scheduling needs. Resolved manpower conflicts via adaptive problem-solving and decision making skills.
