1992 – 1995: Installed, upgraded and performed the site acceptance testing of a new digital switching system supporting launches at Cape Canaveral, Florida. This was the first installation of the MDS-1 product and I had to learn on the job, identify and help resolve initial problems (bugs) which resulted in multiple software and firmware upgrades as well as supporting mission communication requirements. The site acceptance was accomplished and the system supported its first live mission (Shuttle launch) in March 1995.1990 – 1992: Installed, verified, performed site acceptance testing, and maintained a secure communication conferencing system and a fiber optic multiplexing network supporting critical communications on the Naval Air Station (NAS), Keflavik, Iceland. As Site Lead I managed a direct report, corporate assets, and provide direct technical support to the US Navy customer.1990: Installed, verified, and maintained secure communications equipment for the U.S. command authority (4 star Generals) located in Europe.
