• Trusted to capture, handle, and band the endangered Black-Capped Vireo (BCVI)—both adults and nestlings• Mapped the territories of all territorial male BCVIs on my study area, each identified by a unique leg band color combination• Found and monitored nests of each territory throughout the breeding season• Performed distance sampling point counts throughout Fort Hood to help create a BCVI population estimate for the whole area• Drove daily using a 4-wheel-drive truck through both remote locations and military installations

• Handled and fed mallards, squirrels, turtles, opossums, and geese through various methods including syringe and tube feeding• Cleaned and maintained animal hutches, cages, and pens to uphold a healthy living environment• Spoke with patrons in order to educate them about our actions and the reasoning behind them

• Organized and ran a philanthropic 3-day relay event across the state of Missouri as one of three team captains• Recruited a team of 25 runners, each agreeing to raise money for the opportunity to run• Planned and directed the running route which included hotels and all general stops from Kansas City to St. Louis• Raised a total of over $37,000 through donations and sponsorships for our charity, StandUp For Kids
