Food Distribution Program Coordinator
As Project Manager for a monthly food program, I was responsible for orchestrating a seamless collaboration between food donors, nonprofit partner agencies, and community volunteers to drive impactful outcomes. This role demanded strong organizational skills and a strategic approach to collaboration, allowing me to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to streamline food distribution and optimize program operations.A key aspect of my work was tracking and reporting data on total food and meals distributed. This data analysis was instrumental in producing impact reports and uncovering opportunities for program growth, and fundraising. By delivering detailed, accurate reports, I empowered leadership with insights that informed data-driven decisions, ultimately enabling the program to expand its reach and impact on food-insecure populations. In addition, I developed and implemented food and nutrition initiatives tailored to the unique needs of food-insecure communities. These initiatives focused on enhancing access to nutritious food options and promoting community health. My work in this role represented a dynamic combination of project management, analytical insights, and community-focused solutions, all aimed at combating food insecurity with both efficiency and compassion.Food Finders is a dedicated food rescue nonprofit organization committed to reducing food waste and eliminating hunger. Every day, we coordinate the collection of surplus food from a wide network of donors, including grocery stores, restaurants, hospitals, schools, manufacturers, and more. This rescued food is then swiftly redistributed to nonprofits, such as college pantries, shelters, youth programs, and senior centers, where it is used to provide hot meals or grocery distributions for individuals and families facing food insecurity.
