I have spent most of my professional career spanning 25 years as the owner and CEO of several companies throughout the country. Healthcare being the primary focus. Senior Housing-Independent Living, Assisted Living, Alzheimer's, and Memory Care specialties. At one point, having communities and businesses spread over nine states with close to 1200 associates. During that time, real estate development, acquisitions, and divesting became a significant role in the growth of our companies. I have led our teams in over half a billion monetary value transactions, from offering through LOI to completion. The vast challenges of transitioning an existing business into and out of our portfolio became my strong point. Keeping associates, clients, and existing vendors focused, calm, and at ease throughout each so that we could continue to provide the best customer service throughout the process. These vast experiences gave me comprehensive insight into human behavior, operational challenges, and immense opportunities to succeed. Upon semi-retiring in 2019, I embarked on new adventures, pushing myself to explore uncharted territory and pursuits, most well beyond my comfort zone. Starting several new ventures from Real Estate Investments, Roofing and Construction, Podcasting, Content Creation, Wedding focused services, and starting a booming full-service Auction House. With support from his wife, daughters, close family, and friends, I also began crafting a lifelong dream that included adventure, love, loss, and life in the form of his first novel. Published in 2023, Innocence Lost is the first title in the Age of Conflict series. When I "retired" in 2019 a simple goal was cemented in my heart. Do things that help people. Do things that push myself mentally and physically. Do things with integrity, honesty and quality. And finally, Do things that I WANT to do rather than things I HAVE to do. Every job I take on now is one that I attack with passion as it's one that I am actively choosing to participate in. We only have so much time in life and how fun would it be to structure your life to participate in the things you really have a passion, interest, and expertise in? Sounds like a good life to me so I did it. And I strive every day to fulfill that goal. So far, So good.
