I am tasked with receiving requirements, validating all data elements of the requirement, process the requirement for issue or further processing into the Naval Supply System. I also initiate requisition follow-ups to the various supply control points to obtain the latest status available, receive the material from the issuing activity, and process the material for further issue to the requisitioner. I am required to receive, maintain, store, transfer, control, manage and issue all material that is procured for retention as stock. I will ensure that the stock material is inventoried on a continuous basis; all incoming material is received and added to the stock levels and inventory records adjusted; all issues from stock are recorded and stock levels are decremented; mechanized inventory and financial records are updated. Basic supply data is entered through computer terminals by myself and recorded data retrieved via computer terminal or computer generated reports. Administrative tasks include the preparing of naval messages and correspondence, maintaining a reference library of all technical and operation publications required to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Aviation Supply Department, and operating word processers, and automated data processing equipment.
