Successfully mentored diverse high school students, guided them to graduation so they would become outstanding citizens.A private nonprofit all boys’ military boarding middle and high school in Carlsbad California. An extremely racial and social diverse inner-city school in the San Francisco area where the student population spoke over 11 different languages and for the federal government school for the For Bureau of Indian Affairs in NM on the Navajo reservation. My classroom was equipped with leading edge technologies to teach, assess, and report student progress. I was able to utilize a range of technologies and develop social/emotional skills, support academic content through gaming and simulations, and promote the role of social media. Thus, students engage in meaningful, purposeful activities that lead them to demonstrate success through a portfolio of accomplishments. Includes course work on leadership, civics, geography and global awareness, health, and wellness, language arts, life skills, and U.S. history. The curriculum is based on the principles of performance-based, learner-centered education and promotes development of core abilities: capacity for life-long learning, communication, responsibility for actions and choices, good citizenship, respectful treatment of others, and critical thinking techniques. In addition to classroom instruction I oversaw student planning organizing and executing civil and community service projects. I coach three of the extracurricular activity teams, the color guard, air rifle team and the ranger team. Performed duties as operations management including, planning and arranging teams all aspects of teams travel Ordered and maintained equipment. With all facets of air rifle team, color guard, drill team, Ranger team development including recruitment and compliance Prepared and conducted individual and team practices and training both pre-season and regular season competition.
