In 2009, I co-founded Hope Ascents, a 501c3 charity that helps mountain climbers plan and execute charity climbs. My initial responsibilities were to help organize the Board of Directors, establishing roles and responsibilities for each Board Member, and provide direction on the vision and activities for the organization.Alongside establishing the foundation for our charity and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, I'm actively involved in the organization’s fundraising efforts and coordination of Hope Ascents led Charity Climbs.

As a Project Manager, I managed the implementation for Epic’s Professional Billing software. I worked with large, complex health care organizations, including: academic, multi-specialty physician groups, community practices, hospital based organizations, provider based organizations, and pediatric customers. My previous clients include: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Atrius Health, Ochsner Health System, Park Nicollet Health Services, Presbyterian Health Services, University Health System of Eastern Carolina, and University Health System of Augusta.I worked closely with billing office and finance leadership to optimize their billing processes using an integrated practice management system, resulting in more streamlined revenue cycle workflows across front-end and back-end operations. I lead system design and workflow validation to ensure the practice management system met customers’ operational and billing requirements.I managed the integration between Epic and third party systems such as PeopleSoft and Lawson for general ledger and accounts payable systems to ensure the customer could accurately generate their financial statements. This resulted in a higher level of automation and more transparent information being shared between A/R and A/P systems.

As a System Success Executive, I was responsible for the overall system and implementation success for Epic’s Revenue Cycle applications. I served as a point of escalation for revenue cycle issues for implementing and live health systems, and was responsible for helping teams create action plans for meeting their customers' needs. I helped create implementation strategies and success checks to ensure successful revenue cycle implementations and KPI management once live. I helped create an internal application support structure to manage system functionality and adoption. These efforts lead to more structured implementations with routine success check-ins and greater predictability of project success. I consulted our Revenue Cycle customers on strategies to optimize their revenue cycle processes and tools to improve KPI performance.I worked closely with research and development management to ensure we offered robust, competitive Revenue Cycle products that met the needs of our customers.

As a Team Lead Manager, I was responsible for managing the Professional Billing Implementation Services Team staff and team leaders, including 12 direct reports and ~100 indirect reports. I was responsible for growing my direct reports, improving their skills, and ensuring the overall success of their projects.I worked with cross-functional managers to ensure continuous improvement, technology alignment, and the proper allocation of staff for customer and internal projects, resulting in our application suite being named #1 in the industry by KLAS.
