Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the State of Arkansas was forced to implement a new temporary division within DWS. I was brought on to create and maintain the PUA department until the end of the program which was set to expire on December 31st, 2020I was tasked to create a new department within the State of Arkansas in a month, with the assistance of the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA). The creation of a new department within the state proved challenging. The challenges were solved and the Arkansas PUA program became one of the top programs in the nation. Responsibilities Include:Scheduling, HR reports, approving payroll, legal, finance, policy writing, federal and state law interpretation and implementation, organizational structure, management training, multi-level communications (executive leadership within the State of Arkansas to entry-level employees, Federal Department of Labor, congressional members, citizens of Arkansas that had employment impacted by COVID-19), Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests, new employee on-boarding and training, liaison between DWS and other departments within the State of Arkansas, worked continuously with programmers and developers to get the PUA platform completed and in compliance.

Confidentiality with sensitive and private information was required due to the nature of the information available.
