At the age of 19 and 20 respectively. Tawana and Danielle Pyle started an event planning company. Their client list included major companies, and celebrities including NBA Lebron James, Sony, Def Jam Records, American Diabetes Association and Yele Haiti and they also managed Deejays.Although they realized many successes the Pyle sisters came to the realized that could have circumvented many pitfalls if they had additional guidance, resources and mentorship. This idea inspired them to help young women avoid making the same mistakes they made.Their next brainchild, The World Is A Girl’s Runway Inc. was born. This start up organization empowers young girls, as young as eight years old, and women who embody entrepreneurial spirits help them hone their crafts. This platform creates spaces where women and girls develop interpersonally and professionally. Many workshops focus on entrepreneur education and career training, they also teach etiquette, self-confidence and respect.Many of the young women have attended their youth conferences, workshops, peer sessions, school supply drives, toy drives and volunteered at their community events.The Pyle sisters; vision for The World Is A Girl’s Runway Inc. is to foster a commitment to young women that would promote them to pursue their dreams while providing them with the team building , leadership , and strong interpersonal skills need to realize their full potential.
