• Full responsibility for the HR department and function at the Huntingdon Plant and Peterborough DC.
• Managing, leading and developing the HR team to deliver an excellent service to managers and employees.
• Responsibility for achieving long and short term HR and company strategic goals, and delivering the corporate HR strategy.

• Partnering with appropriate managers and departments to identify training requirements. Ensuring delivery of appropriate internal and external training.
• Driving efficiency and effectiveness in HR technology systems, information and administrative processes, salary administration, benefit plans, policies and practices.

• Providing support and expert advice to department managers and employees in line with employment legislation, company policy and company goals and objectives.
• In conjunction with the department manager, have responsibility for facilitating and managing complex employee relations issues such as redundancy, restructure, TUPE, disciplinary, grievance and absence management.
• Developing and improving internal HR practices and processes to ensure an effective and high quality operational HR support function is provided to department managers and employees across the organisation.
• Assisting managers in developing and retaining talent.
• Sourcing and organising training for employees, ensuring that appropriate and cost effective rates are negotiated.
• Monitoring absence levels and providing statistical reports to department managers, advising and making recommendations where necessary.

Managing and supporting a portfolio of 32 schools ranging from Primary to 6th form on all aspects of HR in line with individual policies.Advising schools on complex employment issues including whole school restructures, recruitment and selection, disciplinary, redundancy and capability matters and appeals, grievances, local policies, procedures, sickness.

Issuing architectural drawings to sub-contractors on a multi-million pound railway project. Using Microsoft Word and Excel to print coversheets.Filing drawings electronically and as hard copies.
