In charge of all federal, state and local government relations for the Missiles and Space Group dealing with NASA, Navy Trident missiles and defense/national security non-air-breathing reconnaisonce and communications assets.

Responsible for ALL external relations (foreign and domestic) of the aerospace agency from just after the shuttle Challenger disaster until just after the shuttle Discovery Return to Flight. Managed the agency's participation in the Paris Air Show and the Experimental Aircraft exhibition.

Senior executive responsible for all Congressional relations/lobbying for the $6 Billion Building Systems Sector of UTC (Carrier, Otis, Essex, etc).Previously, Manager of Power Systems Company (Power System Sector) including Pratt & Whitney gas turbine electrical generating systems and fuel cell power systems R&D. Convinced Congress to raise fuel cell R&D from $2M to $45M per year.

Ten years active duty and 15 in Reserves. Retired - 1985; Naval Flight Officer #152. Navy and USAF Global Flight Examiner, Aide/Flag Secretary to Attack Carrier Battle Group Commander, duty with Defense Intelligence Agency.

During federal transition from the Atomic Energy Commission to the Dept of Energy (DoE) and the severe energy shortages of the mid-'70s, responsible for all federal energy research and development related legislative activities on behalf of the Ford Administration. Left government when the DOE was created.

Senior Lobbyist for DoD with the U.S.House of Representatives. Responsible for the last DoD Authorization Bill to pass the House without a single amendment. Defeated efforts to withdraw 100,000 troops from NATO.

Helped write legislation for All-Volunteer Force and Survivor Benefits Acts and responsible for all Military Personnel and Reserve Affairs legislation. Chief Investigator of racially-based mutinies on attack carriers Kitty Hawk and Constellation.
