We operated a stateful stream processing system which processed $640B annually with effectively-once delivery guarantees. This system was the foundation for external Stripe products, ML systems, and Stripe’s Data Platform. Led a cross-organizational team of staff, mid-level, and junior engineers.Some highlights include: completed a major infrastructure migration with no major incidents, improved freshness from O(hours) to O(seconds), maintained four 9s of uptime, and provided developer velocity and system reliability for other teams (and their products) at the company.
