I'm a proven software sales leader focused on up-leveling the skill sets of my reps and challenge those around me to "Think Bigger." I've always had a strong passion for working with customers to uncover critical business issues, understanding exactly how impactful their issues are, and working with them to offer solutions to their problems when I have them. I love passing this on to my reps and making sure they understand how their actions impact the organizations they work with on a daily basis. I like to be hands on with my leadership style, but not by doing everything myself. My reps are smart, that's why I hire them. They don't always need answers from me, but in certain situations just need a sounding board to bounce ideas off of. I enjoy hopping on calls, having contests with my team (and joining in), working with my team on structuring deals, strategy to build pipeline, present solutions to customers etc. I've noticed that when I focus on developing skills and putting the right tools and processes in place for my team performance takes care of itself. That doesn't mean we don't talk about results as a team, but we spend most of our time focused on doing things the right way and results work themselves out. My team tends to like my style and approach to management. They like the fact that I challenge them, but encourage them to come up with answers on their own, and that I trust them to do so. They like collaborating, sharing ideas, and working with customers together. They enjoy that the focus isn't always about business goals, which we all realize are important, but just as important we focus on short and long term personal and professional goals.
