After fifteen months, I was promoted to the HR Generalist at BankSouth Mortgage. In addition to my duties as an HR Associate, I took on additional responsibilities and assignments within our department and across the enterprise. I am currently the subject matter expert of our HCM/HRIS system, and I have completely streamlined our benefits, hiring and performance management processes to be more efficient and user friendly for the employees. BankSouth Mortgage encourages the use of technology, allowing me to use my tech-savvy skills to continuously look for improvements for the end user.I also play an active role in our Corporate Communications and Employee Focus Committees. Our primary goals are to increase employee engagement, improve employee recognition and encourage community outreach. Having a workforce that is predominately remote can make things interesting, but it allows me to be more innovative and engage my creative side. Whether I’m creating trivia contests, planning activities for various holidays, spotlighting an employee every week, or organizing volunteer projects, I enjoy getting everyone involved.

I served as the HR Associate at BankSouth Mortgage in our corporate Buckhead office. I assisted with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. I worked closely with two additional colleagues to implement and deliver HR services to our team of 200 employees. This included talent acquisition, employment processing, health and welfare benefits, records management, employee relations and retention, performance management, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. I am constantly adhering to the ever-changing federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, and advising management on needed actions. In addition to the daily HR duties I performed, I worked on special projects to further enhance BankSouth Mortgage, both internally and externally. Being that HR is such a multi-faceted field, I am always seeking out opportunities to participate in additional educational opportunities and to network with professional HR organizations in order to share and stay up to date on HR best practices.

I maintained an active prospect list by researching target market clients and small businesses in the area. In addition to meeting established goals, I opened new accounts and prepared documentation as necessary, ensuring that all new accounts were properly set up and processed. Whether I was performing routine maintenance on an account or selling a pre-approved credit product to a client, I always provided a high level of customer service.

Being a limited facility store, I took complete ownership of each and every customer concern, even when the issue was outside the realm of my typical duties. I was the only employee at One Atlantic; therefore, I had to rely on my own expertise and knowledge to run the show!

I worked full-time as an International Teller at the Ansley Mall location in Midtown Atlanta. In addition to providing excellent service to my clients, I made it a priority to find the right solutions that benefited my clients financially. Not only did I perform standard US currency transactions, I also handled transactions involving foreign currency. I was in charge of placing all supply orders, as well as being the main point of contact when my colleagues needed a special order. From processing transactions to cross-selling banking products and services to meet my clients’ needs, I went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that my Wells Fargo customers were completely satisfied.

I worked part-time at the newest location in Georgia at the Westside Urban Market. I was one of the lucky few to have the opportunity to open a store from scratch. From assisting the visual team in building whimsical and creative displays, to filling the entire store with our one-of-a-kind products, I did it all! Most recently, I worked on a workplace drug and alcohol policy that was added to the employee handbook. I worked part-time for the leading natural and organic grocer in the world! More importantly, my store (Midtown) was one of the top grossing stores in the South. I performed all customer service functions, which included assisting customers during the checkout process, performing all cash register functions, or occasionally working at the customer service desk. Also, I am one of a few team members who was allowed access and the opportunity to work in the cash office. I performed the daily cash office procedures including accounting responsibilities, maintaining control of cash levels on hand and identifying and preventing losses. I compiled statistical, financial, accounting and auditing reports pertaining to the sales of my store.
