I developed this restaurant collaboratively with my husband. While he focused on menu and kitchen operations, I managed all other aspects of launching and growing the business including branding, marketing, social media, customer experience, all hiring and HR tasks, bookkeeping, financial relationships, legal filings, customer service, managing FOH staff, community relationships, media, etc."Kind Food is a plant-based cafe and catering company in Kansas City. I supported business owners and entrepreneurs at critical growth stages as we evaluated their brand and developed strategies and creative assets to take their brand to the next stage of growth. Working with key leaders across the company, I was responsible for the development and successful execution of marketing strategies which supported business development, client retention, and culture goals across the Engaged Companies family of brands. With growing business lines and aggressive revenue goals, it was my job to develop and execute the most impactful marketing tactics, while creating a fresh and relevant brand in the transportation marketplace. Working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, I offered marketing consulting, strategy development, graphic design, web design, photography, copywriting and event planning.

As part of the corporate marketing team, I managed all aspects of corporate marketing initiatives including advertising, internal communication, and events. I had my hands in everything from strategy development and budget management to graphic design and web coding. I managed a production team of 4 to 10 employees tasked with handling sensitive legal documents and media, developed and implemented quality control systems and collaborated with Account Reps to ensure the highest client satisfaction.
