As part of the Identity Engineering Product Group in Microsoft I work within the Strategic Alliances team. Our mission is to Recruit, Educate & Publish strategic partners worldwide, who are building apps and solutions for our Identity Platform.

As part of the One Commercial Partner Organisation (OCP) my goal is to assess, enable and build partner’s technical capability to support pre-sales and customer engagements. Key activities include:• Assess the partner technical capabilities and develop a custom learning path based on the identified gaps. Plan testing environments and review existing operational and delivery technical model.• Deliver deep level technical workshops, executing on the defined learning path and developing technical aspects of key scenarios defined in the technology roadmap. Enable and teach the partner in performing and delivering Architecture Design Session (ADS). Provide guidance for completing competency/qualifications technical requirements.• Enable the partner in identifying technology opportunities that enable and/or support the creation of differentiated offers in the market. Enable the partner in creating/adapting SOW for the offers, defining the delivery/operational models and including adoption services and activities.• Enable the partner to be successful during pre-sales activities which includes delivery of Proof Of Concepts (POC), Pilots, Prototypes and technical blockers and objections removal.• Enable the partner to discover ways to automating solution to reduce costs and create repeatability, while documenting processes for knowledge retention and IP.

My role is to help customers and partners adopt and deploy Microsoft technologies efficiently and cost effectively, reducing the time it takes them to realise value from their Microsoft investments. This is achieved by helping our customers deploy what they have and create the market for our products by showcasing what is possible with our newest technologies.As a Solution Architect I assure the delivery of complex projects through provision of architecture advice, guidance, leadership and review and working with customer and partner architects.

As Principal Architect for one of the UK's largest Microsoft Practices I am the primary resource and key liaison for customers in pre-sales engagements and project implementation. My role is to design solutions and ensure that all of the technical aspects of the project or programme meet the business requirements and conform to the developing IT strategy, including addressing scalability, reliability, manageability and availability requirements.

My role is to keep up to date with and understand in detail the huge array of technology thats available. I work closely with clients to help them adopt and implement technology, particulalry that related to infrastructure, communications and server systems. I have technical authority on all infrastructure and server system projects and also run regular demonstration events. I specialise in server system migrations and upgrades, WAN configurations, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
